After seeing the terrible news from Norway, and listening to a lot of eyewitness reports on the bombing and the island killings, I started to feel very sad that humans can do this to one another and so sorry for all the people involved and their loved ones. We also currently have thousands of people staving in Africa, and if that wasn't bad enough, in Somalia in particular there are people preventing aid getting to those that are starving. Crazy sad events seem to be going on all over the place.
I have depression and all these events would usually make me cry and make me want to give up, but today it just made me want to be thankful for all the good things I do have, to count my blessings, and make the most of this day. With that in mind I have decided today is going to be a day full of reminding people that they are fantastic, with the potential to do good and then spend all day doing things that spread smiles. Starting with laying in a bath reading a good book to put a smile on my face, then go somewhere with a bunch of hoop in the sunshine where I can get my wiggle on and encourage others to do it too, smile at everyone I pass on my travels, hug friends and family and just generally encourage others to count their blessing and be happy with the good things that they have and the good things they can do for others.
If you want to meet up to play with hoops, send me a message and we'll work something out.
Feel free to post in the comments here all the happy times you have and if you want to make a record of your blessings you can post those too.
Have a fantastic day!
[UPDATE]
A few of the ENI members are going to go over to Aberavon Beach to have some fun this afternoon. I think it will be around 3pm, so if anyone wants to come over and join in, see you there.
