Adventures In Flowerstick Land

This evening I joined in with a flowerstick workshop run by Stephen H. I have never really had any control over the flowerstick when I tried this before, but Stephen gave clear and simple instructions that lead me to get some control, which enabled me to learn a few moves. I learned a helicopter, a flat throw and a spinning throw and how to keep the stick's speed constant, rather than it getting faster and faster before flying off the control sticks to the floor, which was what happened every time I had tried in the past.

I won't lie and say I now have a burning desire to become a world class devilstick performer, but I have now got a bit of a buzz about learning a something new and having something to build on in the future. I feel like maybe the flowerstic/devilstick world is less of a mystery to me and that I could master some of the more complicated moves if I work at it, so thank you Stephen. I will most definitely be joining in with any other workshops you run in the future.
