Workshop News & More

I have added to the news page 2 more workshops arranged for October. On the 10th there will be a hand and arm hoop workshop, where you can learn all those fun off body moves line cross overs, the pinwheel, eagle rolls and much more. On the 17th Andy will be teaching a beginners contact ball lesson. Complete beginners are welcome at both these workshops. If you have props please bring them with you, but if not we have a few you can borrow from the club kit and the tutors own collection.

On November 21st the Pirates Of The Carabina are bringing their show Flown to the Gwyn Hall in Neath. The ticket price is £12 and you can book in advance on the halls website.

This show has been on tour for a while and has had great reviews. The Pirates Of The Carabina describe the show as:-

"Irreverent and silly, bold and breathtaking FLOWN is a captivating show packed with thrills, laughs and extraordinary physical feats all set to a live original music."

Many of the reviews I have read about the show remark on the flying ironing boards and the element of dangerous disaster. Our very own Peter Duncan has highly recommended going to see it, so if any of you fancy a club trip to the theatre please let us know and we can then try and get a block group booking discount.

Hope to see you all next Thursday for Stephens devilstick workshop.

Time to practice handstands and contact juggling

This is another video that Rob Bluecat, brought to my attention. It's one of those videos that makes your jaw drop and think, just how long did it take her to learn to do this.

ENI needs some gym mats. I want to practice handstands!

And for those of you who don't know who Rob Bluecat is, here is a video.

I have to admit this isn't the best video of Rob, as it only shows off a little of his poi skill, and he has so many other amazing skills... well I could have posted squillions of videos of him, but I picked this one purely because it not only has the talented Rob in it, it also has Maelle club swinging and Ronan contact poi spinning, both very talented people too.

Get in contact with your balls

Get yourself inspired to be a contact juggler with this video from Ryan Mellors. Be warned though, to look skilful at contact you need to need to put in many hours of practice. It can become an addiction.

Bring on the balls! Well, it gives you something to do whilst you are watching the TV or on the bus.

Ball Manipulation by Kyle

The ever fabulous Rob Thorburn posted this video on Facebook earlier and I was so inspired by it I wanted to share it with you lot. So if you have ever wondered what other things you can do with your balls other than just throwing them in the air and catching them....

Enjoy!
