Swansea - ENI
Don't forget that Elephants Not Included will be having it's fortnightly meeting this Sunday in Swansea 11am -1pm at St Phillips Community Centre 11 Clarence Terrace, Swansea, SA1 3QT. If you have never done any circus skills before but would like to have a go at juggling, hooping, poi spinning, staff etc, come along. We have equipment you can use and we are happy to help you on your path to learning a new skill. If you have any anxiety about looking foolish or worry you won't be any good, don't worry. We all started at the beginning, dropping things and falling over and we totally understand those feelings. You will get better as you practice and will celebrate every milestone you make with you and pick you up and dust you down when you need it.

Swansea, The Date Is Set
As I posted on the 4th, Elephants Not Included have decided to branch out and are now going to be running a fortnightly club meeting in St Phillips Community Centre, 11 Clarence Terrace, Swansea, SA1 3QT starting this Sunday 15th June, 11am - 1pm!
If you are a complete beginner or a trained professional you are all welcome. We have some kit that people can use if you that have none of your own, but if you do have your own circus kit please do bring it with you.
The venue is very close to the beach so during the summer we may well move over there on sunny days after we have finished in St Phillips hall, so you might want to bring a picnic blanket and some yummy snacks with you and make a full Sunday of circus fun of it on those days.
This week we will mainly be signing in new members and having as much fun as possible in 2 hours, but in the future we do have plans to set up in house workshops for specific props and inviting external trainers to come and teach us new skills. We like to encourage everyone to skill share and work their way up to running a workshop of their own. Learning to teach others is a great way of finding out a lot more about how you yourself learn and can teach you as much as you teach others. If you are already at the stage that you feel confident about teaching other people and would like to volunteer to run a workshop please tell me when you join the club and we can start making a calender of workshops.
It goes without saying that anyone joining the club in Swansea is more than welcome to attend the Thursday night club meetings in Pontardawe. We actively encouraging car pooling, so if you are someone that would like to come up on Thursdays from Swansea, but you have no transportation I'm sure we can hook you up with someone that does drive, and/or give you all the public transport details to help you do that. We do have quite a few members that already come from the Swansea area, and one that comes from as far as Cross Hands every other week, because we are SOOOOOO AWESOME, FANTASTIC, BEAUTIFUL, TALENTED, FRIENDLY and modest.
If you sign up to the Elephants Not Included Facebook Page and friend Lynne Davies (me), you will be added to the invite list of all our club meetings and events, so you can be reminded of when the meetings are.
I hope to see lots of new faces there on Sunday!
