Day 3 30/30 challenge, Lynne

Tonight is Swansea City Circus training session and I am pencilled in to run a beginners hooping session, so with that in mind and legs that feel a bit shaky I decided practising isolations with mini hoops, whilst sitting down is in orders. So much to learn and so much to perfect. Horizontal and vertical cats eyes, isopops of all variations and what I would call in poi, flowers and anti-spin flowers. I made some progress and managed get my head around a lot more of the moves even though my arm muscles are yet to perform them correctly. I do really feel that there is so much more to be done in the way of arm/hand hooping that is currently being done by most hoopers. I feel it is coming too. It's a bit like poi. There seems to be waves of new moves being found/invented. For ages no one seems to come up with anything new and than all of a sudden something pops up. Remember when anti spin became the new buzz word, or isolations? What about all the hybrid stuff? I all seems to come in waves.

If any of you are coming down tonight to the SCC training session, I hope to see you there. Bring your wiggle with you because I'm going to make you use it!

Oh and excuse the really bad photo of my mini hoops. It's grey and dark here so flash combined with cat leaping out of the cat bed I balanced them in kind of ruined the shot. They are 20mm tubing, 23" diameter.
