Interactive Dance and Film

I think I may have posted this before, but a long time ago. I was reminded of it by someone posting the shortened version of it, that was entered into the USA's Got Talent show, and I was reminded of the total beauty of it and wanted to share that with any of you that may have missed it. Grab yourself a cup of tea and treat yourself to 20 minutes of beautiful dance, with a twist.

The Beauty of Precise Movement

There is dance and there is dance. So many styles of moving your body. So many ways to express yourself. All of which grab my attention. From the drama of Argentine Tango, through the sheer joys of being alive swing dance, the elegance and emotions of Ballet and the power and precision of Krump, it all gladdens my soul and thrills me. Hence I felt the need to share this TED talk about The LDX with you all. Enjoy!

I love some of the videos You Tube recommends me.

Andrea Catozzi uses a combination of dance, acrobatics and capoeira to make an amazing jumble oh movement that just works. He demonstrates contol and abandonment all at the same time somehow.

Thanks for the recommendation You Tube.

This guy definitely dances his own dance

This video is of a guy called Arthur Cadre and he dances in a way I have not seen anyone else do. It is a combination of breakdance, yoga and balances all mixed in to his very own style of dance.

Short but very sweet!

Muscle and movement control

Learning circus skills has a lot to do with learning to control your body and make it move in certain ways. My friend Dave tweeted about this video and this guys body controlled wowed me so much I want to share it with you.

I wish I had that much muscle control.

If this doesn't wow you then you're dead.

I've been adding videos here for a week or 2 in the hope of inspiring some of you to try new things or push forward with skills you already have. When I saw this video of the fabulous Ed at Play I just had to share it with you all. If this doesn't inspire you to learn all the ability of motion that your body has, then I can't think of anything that will.

I've watched this video 5 times already and still keep seeing new moves in it every time. Ed worked long and hard to learn these skills, and is now sharing what he has learn in classes all over the country/world. The latest one will be in Bristol. If you have the ability to be there I suggest you go. I have taken some of Ed's workshops, as have a few other ENI members, and I, as a person that is clumsy and an awkward mover, found them easy to follow and I came away feeling like I had understood and learned a lot about how my body moves.

Have a great day!
